Ms JODIE HARRISON (Charlestown—Minister for Women, Minister for Seniors, and Minister for the Prevention of Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault)—I'd like to give a heartfelt congratulations to John Hatton, who was recently recognised for 20 years of dedicated service at the Marine Rescue Lake Macquarie Annual General Meeting and awards presentation. John was presented with the 20 Year Marine Rescue NSW Service Clasp by Deputy Commissioner Todd Andrews, a well-earned honour that reflects his incredible commitment to keeping our local waterways safe. Reaching this milestone speaks volumes about John's dedication, reliability and quiet strength as a volunteer. What made the moment even more special was that John was joined by his wife, Joan, who is also a much-loved and valued Marine Rescue volunteer. The two of them have spent countless hours serving our community side by side, and their shared contribution is something truly inspiring. People like John and Joan are the heart of our volunteer organisations. They do not seek recognition, but they absolutely deserve it. Their work has helped keep countless people safe, and their generosity has made a real difference in the lives of so many. Thank you, John, for everything you have given over the past 20 years. Lake Macquarie is lucky to have you.
