Ms JODIE HARRISON (Charlestown—Minister for Women, Minister for Seniors, and Minister for the Prevention of Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault)—I would like to recognise Jennie Brice, a remarkable member of our community, and congratulate her on receiving a 2026 Seniors Festival Local Achievement Award. At 94 years of age, Jennie's dedication to the Country Women's Association spans more than six decades, having first joined in 1959. Since becoming a member of the Belmont Branch in 1994, she has served in numerous roles including Councillor, Delegate, Assistant Treasurer and Vice President, and now holds the highly respected position of Patron. Jennie is known for her warmth and generosity, always welcoming new members with a friendly smile and a down-to-earth approach. Despite her years of service, she continues to actively contribute, helping set up and pack down for events and ensuring everything is left just as it should be. Even as her involvement has evolved, Jennie remains committed to supporting others, generously contributing where she can and sharing her extensive knowledge with fellow members. Jennie's lifelong service, kindness and unwavering commitment embody the very spirit of this award. It was a pleasure to present her with this well-deserved recognition, and I thank her for her extraordinary contribution to our community.
