Ms JODIE HARRISON (Charlestown—Minister for Women, Minister for Seniors, and Minister for the Prevention of Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault)—Brooke Xavier's journey is one of passion, persistence and athletic excellence. A former student of Hunter Sports High School, Brooke has been awarded a prestigious Track and Field scholarship to Wheaton College in Boston, Massachusetts. She will represent the college in long jump, triple jump and sprints, and will head off on August 14 to begin this exciting new chapter. Brooke's achievements are the result of years of hard work and unwavering commitment to her sport. Her determination and discipline both on and off the track have been nothing short of inspiring. She has made her school, her coaches and her community incredibly proud. This scholarship is not just a personal milestone for Brooke but a reflection of the talent and dedication that exists within our region. Her success shows young athletes what is possible when you combine ability with perseverance and heart. As Brooke embarks on this new opportunity in the United States, we send her our warmest congratulations and best wishes. Her community will be cheering her on every step of the way.
